Please read through the terms and conditions, as these form the basis of the contract. These terms and conditions do not in any way affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

**Payment of your booking fee constitutes acceptance of the following:** 


HOW TO ORDER 

  • All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
  • It is your responsibility to provide us with a valid email address and telephone number so that we can contact you if necessary.
  • You shall be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the details provided by you during the order process. A Confirmation Of Order Form will be sent to you once design details have been confirmed, and this will be resent with your final due amount prior to your event, for you to confirm that details remain the same and make the remaining payment.
  • Once your booking fee has been paid, we will provide confirmation of receipt via email

 

PAYMENTS 

  • Payments are currently taken in cash, or bank transfer
  • Upon placing an order, you agree to secure your order with a non-refundable and non-transferable 25% booking fee. Orders are not deemed confirmed, and dates are not reserved until this payment is received.
  • The booking fee is taken to cover for initial work undertaken on the design of your cake and administration. It also holds your date and will mean that Angel Of Cakes restricts other orders for the same day. By turning down or not advertising for further work, a cancellation by you will mean a likely loss in profit from alternative orders for us.
  • Payment of the final balance is due a minimum of 7 days prior to the collection date, this time frame increases to 30 days for a wedding cake to allow for preparatory work to take place and supplies to be ordered. I will produce your cakes to the specification as per the Confirmation of Order Form which I will resend with your remaining balance details. Please double check that it is detailed as you require. By paying your remaining balance, you are confirming that what is detailed on the Confirmation of Order is correct.
  • Failure to complete payment of the final balance by the due date on the form will result in the cancellation of your order and the booking fee will not be refunded or transferred.

 

COLLECTION / DELIVERY OF ORDER 

  • Collection / Delivery will be agreed at the time of booking.
  • The Confirmation Of Order Form will stipulate the address and time for delivery. Amendments to the delivery address or time may be permitted at the sole discretion of Angel Of Cakes, and may incur additional delivery charges, due to distance.
  • You will become the owner of the goods you ordered and responsible for the risk of loss or damage to them once they have been delivered to the delivery address or collected from Angel Of Cakes.

 

ALLERGIES/ DIETRY REQUIREMENTS 

  • Please discuss with us if any of your guests have special dietary requirements. Please be aware cakes are baked in a kitchen that uses allergens. Cakes can also be contaminated at the venue via other products, which we cannot control.

   

NON-EDIBLE ITEMS 

  • Cakes may contain small proportions of inedible items; it is the client’s responsibility to ensure these are removed by your caterer / guests before consumption (eg. Support dowels, ribbon, wires in sugar flowers and posy picks0. Some flowers (eg. Ivy / gypsophila) are poisonous and not suitable for use on food products, you should notify your flower supplier of your intention to use the flowers on food to ensure that non-poisonous flowers are used.

 

BEST BEFORE DATE 

  • Your cake is baked to ensure it is fresh for the date of your event. We cannot guarantee its quality if it’s consumed more than 48 hours after the event, but if placed in an air tight container and kept in a cool place it will remain edible for up to 5 days. Our cakes are made entirely of natural ingredients, so we’d like to remind you that because of this they will not have the extended shelf life of most supermarket cakes, which contain additives & preservative.

 

OUTSIDE EVENTS 

  • Any cake(s) placed outside during an event has the possibility of melting or deforming due to the heat. We are not liable for cakes once they have been delivered or collected.

  

DESIGN / AMENDMENTS TO ORDER 

  • Angel Of Cakes understands that sometimes situations occur which can result in you wanting to change your order. Please contact us as early as possible before the order is due to ensure any changes can be implemented. Please be aware changes may incur additional costs, in line with additional work required for administration as well as additional materials and time required for the design change. A full quote will be given for proposed amendments before they are agreed upon.
  • This contract is based upon the agreed date and collection / delivery of your cake as per detailed in your Confirmation Of Order Form
  • Each cake is made individually by hand, so although every effort is made to ensure consistency, a small amount of variation may occur.

 

CANCELLATION OF ORDER 

  • You have the right to cancel the contract at any time up to four weeks before the date your order is due for collection / delivery.
  • To exercise your right of cancellation you must give written notice to Angel Of Cakes via email, giving details of the goods ordered.
  • If the order is cancelled, your booking fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. There will be no refund or transfer of the booking fee, and any expenses already incurred on behalf of the finished product above this value will be invoiced.
  • If a delivery charge has been paid as part of the final balance, or in addition to your non-refundable booking fee, this will be refunded to you. However, if further funds are due this payment will be offset against what is owed to Angel Of Cakes.
  • In the event of exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness, Angel Of Cakes will give as much notice as possible if we are unable to fulfil your order. We will endeavour to find someone else who can produce your order to an equal standard and will refund you all monies already paid, including the booking fee.
  • Angel Of Cakes liability will be limited to the full cost of purchase, and we will not accept responsibility for any consequential loss.
  • For the avoidance of all doubt, if your wedding is postponed this will be treated as a cancellation and we will be happy to discuss the possibility of transferring to a new date, should this be possible a new contract would be issued. If we are unable to fulfil the new date the booking fee and purchase costs for materials will be deducted from the refund if full payment has been paid, otherwise an invoice will be issued to recoup the outstanding expenses.
  • You are strongly advised to take out adequate wedding insurance to cover you in the event of cancellations


 COMPLAINTS 

  • If you have concerns about your cake, please notify us upon collection / delivery / inspection so that we have the opportunity to rectify any issues prior to the event.
  • We highly recommend a member of the family/ event manager as the designated point for the day, to help ensure all runs smoothly.
  • All other concerns should be made in writing within 24 hours, and evidence of the fault should be included.
  • A refund is only given if the uneaten cakes is returned, and is unsuitable for consumption / not as described in the written quote.
  •  No refunds are given due to change of mind.
